Hi, I'm Elizabeth Czerniak. I am the Founder and Creative/Jewelry Designer of Expressed Impressions. I take pride in introducing myself as an Artist! I've always had a different way of looking at things. I find it interesting to take an image and break it into pieces or layers and then put it back together with my own interpretation. I believe this challenge has motivated me to pursue art.
Creating something unique has always been a passion since my childhood and art was the ideal route to explore my ideas. I chose to be an Artist because I love it and I know I have a talent for it. As I was getting familiar with world renowned artists and their timeless artworks, I felt the need to further advance my skills. My degree in Bachelors of Fine Arts from State University of New York at Plattsburgh (SUNY Plattsburgh) helped me find my true passion, designing jewelry! Designing jewelry is an avenue for my creative passion. I like the challenge of having a vision of a piece of jewelry and figuring out how to bring that idea to life. I especially enjoy bringing ideas to life by personalizing jewelry and helping people express their feelings in a unique, yet thoughtful way.
My three-year old son, Maylon, has a significant impact on my artwork and jewelry design. As I see him growing every day, I understand the value of framing each day with meaningful memories. When your child walks for the first time, you cannot hit pause to go finish up the dishes or finish writing an important email. You have to put the chores aside and truly be there, because time doesn’t stop and if you don’t stop to appreciate and enjoy what is around you, you will miss it. My hope with jewelry design is to inspire others to frame their cherished memories with a memento that timelessly captures a special occasion, moment or event.
My inspiration also comes from this wonderful city, Buffalo! I grew up in Buffalo, I lived here my entire life and I believe this city has made me who I am today. Buffalo made me humble and thankful for everything I have. People in Buffalo have understanding and acceptance towards each other. The diverse culture of Buffalo taught me to accept and respect each other’s opinion and work together setting aside our differences. In Buffalo, we bring something different to the table and that is what makes my city truly remarkable.
I created Expressed Impressions with the desire to make one-of-a-kind jewelry for people who have passion for meaningful jewelry and gifts. I hope to achieve a follower base who are as passionate about life and its meaningful moments as I am.
